Strictly fancy dress
You do not have to dress gory or scary. Any real costume works: festival ravers, unicorns, mermaids, superheroes, cheerleaders, doctors and nurses, saints and sinners, gladiators, goddesses and more.
A mask by itself is not fancy dress. If you are stuck, keep it simple: black suit plus black sunglasses equals Men in Black.
